This certificate is a valuable first step for graduates to pursue careers or further training in counseling/psychotherapy (but is not in itself a training). General Eligibility

There are no formal entry criteria. In your application form you need to show an understanding of, and interest in, psychodynamic counseling. Relevant work experience is particularly important, especially for applicants without formal academic qualifications. All modules are taught at the university level and you should be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

• If English is not your first language or you have not previously studied in English, our usual requirement is the equivalent of an International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic Test) score of 6.5, with not less than 6.0 in each of the sub-tests.
