Course Overview

Graduates can pursue careers in business and finance, education, research, and analysis, or statistics. This degree can also be useful in becoming a statistician, mathematical research scientist, operational researcher, or secondary school teacher. General Eligibility

We welcome applicants without traditional entry qualifications as we base decisions on our own assessment of qualifications, knowledge, and previous work experience. We may waive formal entry requirements based on the judgment of academic potential. If you have no previous formal qualifications you will need to complete an admission test including English comprehension and mathematical knowledge. Guaranteed interview for applicants with A-level mathematics (or equivalent*), and for students with at least a Merit in the Birkbeck Certificate of Higher Education in Mathematical Studies taking the Mathematics and Further Mathematics modules.
