BHE UNI - Course - BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying

Course Overview

In the BSc Honours Quantity Surveying program, our students are taught by Chartered Surveyors with extensive professional practice experience.

The course will allow you to learn the skills involved in design economics, procurement methods, cost planning and estimating life cycle costing, measurement and quantification of construction work, and contract management.

We have regular guest lectures from industry experts who talk about working examples of their projects, giving you a natural feel of how the construction industry works. These strong links mean our students are in high demand from potential employers before they graduate.

The work placement module in the third year allows you to apply the knowledge you have learned in the classroom to live projects under professional supervision. Again, the year-out is fully credit-bearing.

General Eligibility

Our entry requirements indicate standard and Minimum qualifications with which we usually accept students. However, competition for places varies yearly, and you aren't guaranteed a business if you meet the minimum qualifications.

This course is only available for entry into Years 1 and 2

Award of Diploma with 26 points overall with three HL subjects at grades 5, 5, and 5.
