While on this course you'll cover a range of topics that will benefit you in your career working in the Early Years. Throughout your learning, we also focus on supporting your professional and personal development so you can be the best you can be. We develop your professional skills through exploring the latest research and legislative frameworks. In year one you will cover child development, the team supporting the child, and learning through play. In year two you will study: children, families and society, inclusion, and curriculum principles. You'll finish the course confident in applying your skills and knowledge to practice.
This course is designed for students who have around two years of relevant experience and normally work 15 hours a week or more. Typically you already need to have one of the following qualifications: NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Children's Care Learning and Development Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce CACHE Diploma in Childcare and Education Pre-school Practice and Child Minding Practice BTEC National Diploma Early Years.
