This course is offered as a four-year program, including an initial Foundation Year. The Foundation Year will allow you to develop your academic study skills and build confidence in your abilities, identifying your own strengths and development needs for progression onto an undergraduate degree. During your time studying for this degree, the content will cover both essential and advanced production and composition techniques. You will explore new methods of sound creation and manipulation using industry-standard software. Students are also provided with the opportunity to experiment with DJ and live electronic performance technologies, and to develop their own production skill sets in synthesis and signal processing techniques, as well as refining their knowledge in recording, sampling, and mixing audio.
Applicants who do not meet the minimum requirements for our three-year programs, or those who do not feel fully prepared for first-year entry, can be considered for the four-year program including a foundation year. Applicants to these will have typically achieved between 32-56 UCAS tariff points.
