Course Overview

Undertaking the iPGCE will allow students to develop their knowledge and understanding of education in the UK and international contexts, bringing together theory and practice. During the course, you will gain valuable insight to enhance your practice and inform future professional development. As an internationally recognized qualification, studying the iPGCE will allow you to further your career by complementing other teaching qualifications and advancing your understanding of critical educational issues.

General Eligibility

Students must have an undergraduate degree (typically 2:2 minimum or equivalent).

While prior teaching experience is not required, by the time you commence the iPGCE, you must be working or volunteering in a role involving education, teaching, or training. More specifically, this would mean a minimum of 10 hours per week (or equivalent) for the duration of the course, and all students must have regular and reliable internet access.

Part Time Work Details

20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.

  • IELTS 6.5 with a minimum of 6 in each component.
