This programme is designed to provide ākonga/learners with a broad base of business knowledge and gain role-specific skills in either accounting or leadership and management.
All strands will learn about business operational functions, business communication, the New Zealand business context and interpersonal relationships.
In the accounting strand, ākonga will study financial transactions, financial statements, budgeting and taxation, and decision-making and analysis. This strand may equip graduates to work towards the academic requirements for CAANZ’s Accounting Technicians College.
In the leadership and management strand, ākonga will study business planning, project management, and leadership.
You are at least 16 years of age on the programme start date for the semester (or provide a completed Early Release Exemption form), and meet one of the following requirements:
Achievement of NCEA Level 2 including:
8 Literacy credits at Level 2 or above; and
14 Numeracy credits at Level 1 or above
Or
An equivalent of the above
Or
Successful completion of an approved qualification at Level 3 or above with a relevant pathway.
20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.
IELTS An academic band score of 5.5, with no individual band score lower than 5.0
