This course is offered as a four-year program, including an initial Foundation Year. The Foundation Year will allow you to develop your academic study skills and build confidence in your abilities, identifying your own strengths and development needs for progression onto an undergraduate degree. If you really enjoy controlling the figures, then Accounting and Finance is the perfect career path for you. Every organization needs accurate financial information in order to survive and to make decisions about future growth. You'll be able to recognize the trends and explore ways to keep a business afloat, making sure the profits stay up and the expenses stay low. As its a joint degree, this course will benefit those aspiring to be accountants or working in the world of finance. It includes skills that build on investment and commercial banking, insurance, consultancy and financial markets.
Applicants who do not meet the minimum requirements for the 3-year undergraduate program, or those who do not feel fully prepared for a Level 4 course, will be considered for the 4-year program including a Foundation Year. Applicants to these will have typically achieved between 32-56 UCAS tariff points.
