You will develop an understanding of the business of sports. This will be from a global perspective and nation of the sports industry in the UK. Key business concepts and theories will be embedded into the course to review sports business and best practices in sport management.
Emphasis will be placed on leadership and management of sports while developing the strategic skills needed to assess the sports business landscape. This programme is exciting and innovative, facilitating an understanding of all aspects required to set up a new business or enterprise.
You will develop technical, supervisory and managerial capabilities of sports business. A key consideration will be placed on attributes needed to thrive in this industry as a graduate, including effective communication, ethics, demonstrating strong consumer understanding and developing a mindset that allows you to learn how to take measured risks.
112 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification listed on the
UCAS tariff calculator, including:
A Level in at least two subjects
BTEC Extended Diploma - DMM
BTEC Diploma - D*D*
International Baccalaureate - 24 points, including a minimum of 15 points at a Higher Level
We also welcome applications from students taking Level 3 or higher qualifications not on the UCAS tariff calculator and will assess the suitability on a case-by-case basis.
In addition to one of the above, you should have the following:
GCSE English Grade 4/C or Level 2 Functional Skills in English
GCSE Mathematics Grade 4/C or Level 2 Functional Skills in Mathematics
We accept European and international qualifications besides the International Baccalaureate and BTEC qualifications besides A-levels.
20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.
IELTS 5.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking (or recognised equivalent).
