Our MSc Sport Management, Governance and Policy is designed to give you the skills and expertise you need to compete in the sports industry and related businesses and organizations, by offering specialist teaching about the principles and practice of sport management, governance, and policy. It will provide you with detailed knowledge about key issues, such as the structure and function of sport in the UK and elsewhere, governance and regulation, sports economics, and much more. The program is ideally suited to the needs of executives within sport organizations, including regulatory and governing bodies, those who work in central and local government, those with responsibilities in the sport and leisure fields, members of supporter organizations, and other local, regional, and national sport organizations. It will also appeal to those with a general interest in the sport and media industries.
Our standard postgraduate entry requirement is a second-class honors degree (2:2 or above).
If English is not your first language or you have not previously studied in English, our usual requirement is the equivalent of an International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic Test) score of 6.5, with not less than 6.0 in each of the sub-tests.
