The course is designed to run alongside your formal employment or volunteering, which will be in an environment with links to sports, fitness, health, or PE. You’ll not only be enhancing your subject knowledge through both taught theory and practical application, but you will also be preparing yourself for the BA top-up course.
You don’t have to jump straight back into study, however; one of the beauties of this course is that once completed, you can return to complete a BA top-up and gain your full degree whenever you are ready.
Current students are employed, or volunteering, in schools or coaching environments while they study. Many foundation degree students will go on to complete the BA (Hons) in Physical Education, Physical Activity, and Sport before applying to become qualified teachers or continue their studies at the Master's level.
Applicants must normally have:
a GCSE at grade C (or equivalent) in the English language;
an A-level or equivalent qualification in the specialist pathway
20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.
IELTS 6.5 or equivalency – with no less than 5.5 in any element.
