Marketing communications are messages and related media used to communicate with a market. Our MSc Marketing Communications explores and investigates the marketing communications business, how marketing communications work, how to plan a marketing communications campaign, and ethical considerations when implementing marketing communications in practice. You will learn about organizational decision-making processes and how to define and solve marketing communications problems. You will also examine how marketers formulate and implement policies, programs, and strategies, and consider marketing communications theory and practice in a range of industries and organizations, so you can identify appropriate practical tools. Graduates can pursue careers in advertising, media and event marketing, public relations, management, and market research. Possible professions include advertising, marketing, distribution, public relations, or sponsorship. This degree can also be useful within a variety of roles within the local and national government, as well as in becoming a public relations officer, marketing executive, public affairs consultant, or advertising copywriter.
Our standard postgraduate entry requirement is a second-class honors degree (2:2 or above) from a UK university or an equivalent international qualification.
If English is not your first language or you have not previously studied in English, our usual requirement is the equivalent of an International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic Test) score of 6.5, with not less than 6.0 in each of the sub-tests.
