Course Overview

By studying computer science, you will improve your problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills. These skills are applicable in all fields but are especially useful for specialists working with complex algorithms and big data to understand design patterns, identify problems and create solutions.

Our full-time Bachelor's Degree programme in Computer Science will provide you with the necessary knowledge to understand and build computer-based systems, for the next generation of technological development. The course contents cover basic computer concepts, algorithmic thinking, systems design, problem-solving, artificial intelligence, simulation and computer and data security. The programme teaches students knowledge and skills to pursue a professional career in a wide variety of computer science fields.

As a graduate of BSc Computer Science, you will be in high demand from IT and tech companies since you will develop knowledge of niche theoretical disciplines e.g., algorithms, theory of computation and information theory. You will also be able to secure a job in fields beyond this, employers in complementary fields including manufacturing, finance, consulting, public service, and the creative industries also require computer science experts.
