This course is aimed at those with work-related or personal projects, or those wanting to change direction, drive innovation and change or plan for a start-up. The Postgraduate Certificate in Digital Media Management examines issues and opportunities in digital media, giving you practical and analytical skills and experience in the management of digital media development from strategy, purpose, and initial project research to the proposal, presentation, and marketing through a distinctive and professional business plan. You will choose a project topic, describe its relevance to work or personal interests, and decide on the means of delivery and evaluation. In addition to project management, you will develop transferable practitioner skills such as time management, business research, evaluation, presentation, networking, communication skills, and a strategic understanding of wider digital contexts and the process of change. You will review your approach and progress critically to apply learning in the practical context of your project and be required to present your ideas clearly and effectively, and work collaboratively.
You will be expected to be a graduate with IT skills and to have at least one year's experience in training, education, human resources, publishing, marketing, or associated media development. Non-graduates with three years' experience and IT skills are also welcome to apply.
