Course Overview

The aim of the MSc Ultrasound Imaging programme is to enable you to: 

  • Critically evaluate current advances in ultrasound imaging

  • Apply an evidence-based approach to enhance current and future practice

  • Perform high quality scans in a safe and effective manner

  • Reflect upon all aspects of scan performance to enhance quality of practice

General Eligibility

Undergraduate degree

You should:

  • Have BSc (Hons) degree or equivalent in a health care subject. You will usually be required to have achieved a 2.1 Honours degree, but consideration will be given if you have a 2.2 Honours degree with appropriate experience and satisfactory references.

  • Have registration with a relevant professional body i.e. HCPC, NMC etc. Students without professional registration may still be accepted but will be counselled in relation to employment prospects.

OR

  • Be a medically qualified 

Part Time Work Details

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

  • International applicants will be required to show proficiency in English. An IELTS score of 7.0 (with no element below this) is proof of this.
