The MSc Business, Political Economy and Society provides a fascinating insight into the impact of political, social, economic, technological, and environmental issues on international business decisions and global strategies in an increasingly globalized world. Taught by a cross-disciplinary community of scholars from Birkbeck's departments of Management, Economics, Law, and Politics, you will learn how to critically evaluate and assess business decisions in different political economies and social contexts. You will also be trained in key methodological research techniques enabling you to successfully draft business and political-economic analysis. The program is ideal if you wish to pursue a career in the increasingly popular field of political economy in both developed and developing countries. Our standard postgraduate entry requirement is a second-class honors degree (2:2 or above).
If English is not your first language or you have not previously studied in English, our usual requirement is the equivalent of an International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic Test) score of 6.5, with not less than 6.0 in each of the sub-tests.
