Course Overview

Gain the knowledge and skills you need to work as an incorporated engineer on this professionally accredited degree in electrical and electronic technology. This electrical and electronic engineering degree will provide you with a range of skills that will allow you to work with current and future engineering technologies, methods, and standards. Our degree is accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology on behalf of the Engineering Council as fully meeting the educational requirements for registration as an incorporated engineer.

General Eligibility

A-level: 16 Points from Mathematics, physical science, or a numerate subject. General Studies/Level 3 Key Skills not accepted BTEC National: Extended Diploma in Engineering (required: Calculus to Solve Engineering Problems (Unit 7) and Further Engineering Mathematics (Unit 8), one at Merit) or a related subject. A-level and BTEC National: Diploma/Extended Certificate in Engineering and 16 Points from A-level Mathematics if Units 7 and/or 8 are not included A-level and BTEC National: Diploma/Extended Certificate in Applied Science and 16 Points from A-level Mathematics Plus GCSEs in English language and mathematics at grade 4 or above (grade C or above under the A*-G system), and one GCSE science subject at Grade C or above under the A*-G system. We also accept equivalent qualifications at Level 2, such as Functional Skills in Mathematics and English.
