Course Overview

This BSc (Hons) Engineering and Management Studies Learning at Work Degree Course allows you to study for a university level engineering degree without leaving your job.

You'll develop key engineering skills and knowledge whilst learning essential business principles and practices. Whether you want to study many areas of engineering or specialise in subjects such as systems analysis, design engineering or manufacturing, you'll gain the skills and knowledge to improve your performance and advance your career. You can specialise in areas such as robotics, manufacturing or mechanical engineering.

Our courses are designed for busy people. You can tailor the course to match your aspirations and your employer's objectives, and to negotiate the pace of your studies around your existing commitments. Your work-based projects have flexibility in their submission deadlines, and with no residential requirements you can study wherever is most convenient for you.

Because the course is work-based, you need to already be in a full-time, part-time or voluntary role. You'll get to put the skills you learn to work instantly in your job, contributing to the success of your company while learning about the current and future requirements of the engineering sector.

When you complete the course, you'll improve your career prospects and have the skills and knowledge to perform more effectively in your job.

General Eligibility

A typical applicant would usually have post-school higher education, such as an HNC, or equivalent, or part of a degree course, together with appropriate work experience.

Part Time Work Details

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.

Language Requirement

  • The IELTS score for international applicants is 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in each component).
