Course Overview

This applied behavioral science and welfare degree is for students who want to pursue careers in animal behavior and animal welfare - particularly with animals in captivity. This degree is aimed at those with an active interest in the welfare of animals in captivity and who wish to develop this into a professional career. You will develop your theoretical and practical skills with state-of-the-art facilities designed with animal welfare and specific behavioral needs in mind. Modules include animal behavior, anatomy and physiology, animal cognition and learning, conservation, and animal health and disease management. The wide range of topics covered will enable you to consider a number of industry posts, including those in management and research.

General Eligibility

96 UCAS points or a Merit grade from a relevant Level 3 Extended Diploma. UCAS points are often made up from A-Levels, preferably one in a science-based subject. All applicants should have GCSE Grade C or above in English, Maths, and Science and have spent two years studying at Level 3.
