The Master of Research in Humanities offers you the opportunity to pursue a personalized, tailor-made program of Masters's study in a structured, interdisciplinary, and research-driven environment. Its focused on your interests and is available across a broad range of disciplines in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. For example, if you are interested in The Gothic Imagination or Scottish Literature the MRes Humanities is a great option to study some of these topics. Youll undertake an extended piece of research within a program of study designed together between you and your supervisor(s). The MRes can be pursued for personal or career development, or as a stepping-stone to doctoral study (Ph.D.). The MRes is a one-year, research-oriented taught course. Youre allocated a supervisor or supervisors, and together youll plan a curriculum that reflects your interests and needs.
A minimum of a second class honors degree (2.1 preferred) or equivalent in a relevant subject.
