Course Overview

you’ll possess valuable skills in collaborative working with other practitioners and industry professionals, as well as community members and participants in a host of applied and community settings. You’ll be able to act autonomously, and use your initiative, problem-solving and leadership skills to manage complex situations. You should also have the skills to take charge of your personal and professional development and be able to reflect on your progress as you work towards your goals.

General Eligibility

You should have at least an upper second class (2.1) honours degree in a relevant subject. Relevant subjects include Theatre, Performance, Drama, Dance, Creative Writing, Animation, Illustration, Art and Design, Fine Art, Graphic Design, Photography, Textiles and Surface Design and Fashion. If you don’t have this qualification but do have alternative qualifications or significant experience in a relevant field, then we’ll be happy to consider your application. We'll consider applications where appropriate work experience can be demonstrated in lieu of, or in addition to, the published academic qualifications in line with the University’s Recognition of Prior Experiential Learning (RPEL) procedures. You may be required to attend an interview and/or provide a portfolio of work.

Part Time Work Details

Apprentices will need to be employed by your organization for a minimum of 30 hours per week. Your organization will also need to commit to sponsoring apprentices to complete this qualification.

Language Requirement

  • If English isn’t your first language, you’ll also need IELTS 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any band (or equivalent). We also accept a range of other English language qualifications
