The course teaches the advanced study of education, where you will learn about critical issues across education and undertake educational research. You also have the opportunity to study inclusive practice, pedagogy, leadership and teamwork development. Teaching and learning are underpinned by cutting-edge research, informed by a national and global perspective. The MEd has a strong international dimension with focus on relevant global developments in education and provides you with many opportunities to share practice and insights relating to the education systems of which you have experience.
In order to apply for the MEd Educational Studies, you must satisfy one of the following criterions: Possess a teaching qualification or early years equivalent Possess a first (bachelor’s) degree in the broad area of education Possess a first (bachelor’s) degree in another discipline but with substantial content relating to education Have relevant work or professional experience or completion of an appropriate programme of study for which prior knowledge and skills have provided an appropriate foundation, including a compulsory element of independent work
Apprentices will need to be employed by your organization for a minimum of 30 hours per week. Your organization will also need to commit to sponsoring apprentices to complete this qualification.
