Course Overview

This cutting-edge program will give you a detailed understanding of strategy and its application in a wide variety of business settings, including consultancy. It will enable you to become strategically minded. Youll learn to evaluate organizations positions within their competitive environments and then develop viable strategic options. By the end of this course, youll have well-rounded business knowledge as well as the strategic skills to pursue a wide range of career options in strategy development, management consulting, or a managerial role in a variety of business functions. Youll gain a detailed understanding of strategy by studying three modules focused on this fascinating area of business. The modules cover the fundamentals, advanced-level strategy, and how the strategy works in an international business context. In the first term, well introduce you to key theories, concepts, and frameworks related to corporate and entrepreneurial strategy. Youll learn how to analyze the external environment as well as companies internal capabilities and understand how these skills can be used to shape strategic decision-making.

General Eligibility

One of the following: A good UK honors degree (minimum lower second class) Equivalent overseas degree recognized by Aston University As well as: Two professional references – at least one must be from an academic referee An official academic transcript of your university grades to date A completed application form.

• IELTS Overall 6.5, Reading, Writing Listening, Speaking 6.0 Financial requirement You’ll need to show you have enough money to support yourself - unless you’ve been in the UK with a valid visa for at least 12 months on the date of your application. How much money you need depends on where you will be studying. You’ll need either: £1,334 per month (for up to 9 months) for courses outside London £1,023 per month (for up to 9 months) for courses inside London If you’re applying for the Doctorate Extension Scheme, and you’ve been in the UK for less than 12 months, you need to prove you have a total of £2,668 for courses in London, or a total of £2,046 for courses outside London. If you’re boarding at a residential independent school, you’ll need to pay boarding fees instead. The amount you need to pay will be on your CAS. London means the City of London and the 32 London boroughs.
