Course Overview

Mathematics offers a principled, logical, and quantitative perspective of the world around us. From mathematical modeling of airflow and epidemic spreading, through medical diagnosis and power-grid control to investment banking and self-driving cars €“ mathematics is fundamental to many cutting-edge technologies. Graduates with these skills are in high demand across many sectors of industry and our course equips you with the advanced tools and techniques needed to develop your career. Our Mathematics department offers a suite of programs delivered by dedicated and passionate staff. Our Mathematics programs look at the excitingly complex patterns and systems that can arise from simple mathematical ideas, and how they may provide the key to understanding biological, economic, or physical problems.

General Eligibility

ABB, to include A level Maths at minimum grade A BBB, to include A level Maths at minimum grade B (with an EPQ or Core Maths at grade B) BBC, to include A level Maths at minimum grade B (contextual offers and for DTUS applicants) IB- 32 overall points with 6, 5, 5 in Higher Level subjects including a 6 in Higher Level Mathematics and grade 5 in Standard Level English.

  • IELTS Overall 6.0, Reading, Writing Listening, Speaking 5.5. Financial requirement You’ll need to show you have enough money to support yourself - unless you’ve been in the UK with a valid visa for at least 12 months on the date of your application. How much money you need depends on where you will be studying. You’ll need either: £1,334 per month (for up to 9 months) for courses outside London £1,023 per month (for up to 9 months) for courses inside London If you’re applying for the Doctorate Extension Scheme, and you’ve been in the UK for less than 12 months, you need to prove you have a total of £2,668 for courses in London, or a total of £2,046 for courses outside London. If you’re boarding at a residential independent school, you’ll need to pay boarding fees instead. The amount you need to pay will be on your CAS. London means the City of London and the 32 London boroughs.
