The course is thorough, with core modules on Managerial Finance, Micro and Macroeconomics, and dealing with Financial Risk. Career paths include economic research bodies, economic consultancy practices (including the consulting segments of some of the large chartered accountancy/financial services firms), broader management and strategic consultancies, the Government Economic Service (GES), commercial banks, investment banks, private equity, and other special investment services, the International Monetary Fund (and other international bodies), NGOs, local authorities and Learning and Skills Council offices.
