Course Overview

This course is suitable for graduates with a background in computer science looking to advance their careers in the tech and digital sector by studying for a masters degree. It also provides junior data analysts and software engineers a pathway for career development by honing their technical skills into specialisms. The Digital and Technology Solutions Specialist Degree Apprenticeship is taught at the masters level and will give learners the knowledge, skills, and behaviors required to become specialists in their field through practically orientated learning sessions. The program is split into four specialist streams: The Data Analyst route focuses on the investigative and interrogative skills required to work with big data. The IT Project Manager route focuses on successful project delivery of software development solutions that meet expectations. The IT Strategy Specialist route concentrates on providing convincing advice and guidance on transformative technology-based change initiatives, driving IT strategy. The Software Engineer route has a technical focus on the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex software solutions.

General Eligibility

An honors degree in a related subject (or equivalent qualification) At least Grade 4 or C GCSE Maths and English. *Please note: Employers may specify their own entry criteria that can exceed this. You will also need to meet the government's eligibility criteria: Have been a UK/EU/EAA resident for the past three years or more prior to starting the course. Have left full time education when the apprenticeship you are applying for is due to start. Be aged at least 16 years old to meet government funding criteria.

Language Requirement

  • IELTS: An overall minimum score of 6.5, with a minimum of 6.0 for each individual IELTS skill. Financial requirement You’ll need to show you have enough money to support yourself - unless you’ve been in the UK with a valid visa for at least 12 months on the date of your application. How much money you need depends on where you will be studying. You’ll need either: £1,334 per month (for up to 9 months) for courses outside London £1,023 per month (for up to 9 months) for courses inside London If you’re applying for the Doctorate Extension Scheme, and you’ve been in the UK for less than 12 months, you need to prove you have a total of £2,668 for courses in London, or a total of £2,046 for courses outside London. If you’re boarding at a residential independent school, you’ll need to pay boarding fees instead. The amount you need to pay will be on your CAS. London means the City of London and the 32 London boroughs.
