Course Overview

Understand human behavior in the workplace on our Business Psychology MSc. What makes individuals thrive at work, how do we improve organizational performance and how can we make the workplace a healthier, happier environment? Whether youre interested in a leadership role, career paths in human resources, marketing, employee relations, or any role that would benefit from understanding other people in the workplace, this course is for you. You will develop your critical understanding of the main theories of effective leadership and organizational behavior and how they can be applied in real-life business scenarios. Youll also develop your own skills in relation to human behavior and leadership in the workplace, preparing you for a wide range of business and management roles across a variety of sectors. At Aston University, youll learn from one of the best-known and most successful academic groups in work and psychology in Europe. The department is recognized internationally for its research activities. We research the challenges concerning the future of work and organizations. Staff is active in research studies including aspects of leadership and innovation, strategic and international human resource management, diversity, inclusion and meaningful work, CSR, ethics, and sustainability. You will find their practical knowledge of organizational behavior and workplace psychology incredibly valuable.

General Eligibility

A good UK honors degree (minimum lower second class) in a relevant subject area. This would include degrees where psychology was the main area of study or part of the curriculum. Applications from students who have studied social sciences or business may also be considered providing the degree included some evidence of human resources, psychology, or organizational behavior content, or alternatively, the applicant may have had relevant work experience. Equivalent overseas degree recognized by Aston University.

• IELTS: An overall minimum score of 6.5, with a minimum of 6.0 for each individual IELTS skill. Financial requirement You’ll need to show you have enough money to support yourself - unless you’ve been in the UK with a valid visa for at least 12 months on the date of your application. How much money you need depends on where you will be studying. You’ll need either: £1,334 per month (for up to 9 months) for courses outside London £1,023 per month (for up to 9 months) for courses inside London If you’re applying for the Doctorate Extension Scheme, and you’ve been in the UK for less than 12 months, you need to prove you have a total of £2,668 for courses in London, or a total of £2,046 for courses outside London. If you’re boarding at a residential independent school, you’ll need to pay boarding fees instead. The amount you need to pay will be on your CAS. London means the City of London and the 32 London boroughs.
