The Postgraduate Certificate course has been written to meet the Practice Educator Professional Standards for Social Work. The program will enable you to support and assess social work students on placement and enhance your leadership skills. You will develop your knowledge alongside your employment and be provided with evidence to meet the continuing professional development requirements from the regulator Social Work England.
The course provides a continuous professional development framework for social care professionals. Graduates from this program will be highly competitive candidates for further postgraduate study at MSc, MPhil, and Ph.D. levels.
This award will enable you to take on the role of Practice Educator for social work students and for progress to senior roles in social work, including leadership and management. Graduates from this course will also be highly competitive candidates for further postgraduate study at MSc, MPhil, and Ph.D. levels.
The applicant will be offered a place when a member of the course team confirms they meet all the criteria for entry. For the Practice Educator Professional Standards Stage 1 (PEPS 1) and Practice Educator Professional Standards Stage 2 (PEPS 2) modules, applicants will need to liaise with partner organizations to enable them to support, supervise and assess a student social worker.
20 hours of work permit weekly for international students.
