Course Overview

Discover the endless opportunities a career in science offers you, while improving our understanding of the universe. This degree is designed to provide flexibility, while preparing you for a variety of work opportunities.

In this program you will:

  • Graduate with depth and breadth of scientific knowledge

  • Gain a strong foundation in cell biology, chemistry, biodiversity and ecology, and research methods

  • Choose additional introductory courses in mathematics for those interested in specialisation

  • Learn in specialised labs and gain hands-on experience during field studies, preparing you for work in professional scientific settings

General Eligibility

For entry into most USC undergraduate degree programs, you need to have completed a minimum level of education similar to successful completion of Australian Year 12 with good grades.

Further studies, for example, a semester or more at college or university, can also be considered for entry and may give you credit transfer towards a degree.

Some examples of upper secondary qualifications and a guide to the minimum grades that USC will consider are listed here. These are minimum requirements and do not guarantee entry. Some programs may require higher grades. Alternative qualifications may also be considered on a case by case basis.

Part Time Work Details

20 Hours of Work permit weekly for international students.
